Long Review: | Warmacre figures are actually intended to be used more as counters with the game "Hour of Glory", rather than stand-alone wargame figures. However, by a lucky coincidence, they are near enough to 28mm that they can easily be used to provide guards and such. While they are not as detailed as standard wargame figures, and require more work, once they are prepared, they will happily mix with most of the 28mm ranges available. The latest figures from the Warmacre shop are a pack of 5 Rangers and 5 German Gebirgsjäger as well as a pack of 4 German Gebirgsjäger Assault troops. Gav's getting better and better. Each new set improves on the last, and the figures just get better. The US Rangers are in solid poses, all very usable, and come with separate assault packs. They are armed with a variety of weapons and wear standard US uniforms. The Gebirgsjäger (in two packs) are also in useful poses, and come armed with a variety of weapons, from rifles to assault rifles and SMGs. They are dressed in typical GJ uniforms, consisting of a mixture of parkas and smocks, with the odd bit of mountaineering gear. |
Commentary: | Not bad figures, a little rough, but serviceable with a little cleaning and filing. Improving with each release. |
